About Me

2014-10-25 14.26.48EarlyLearningMom.com is run by me, Monique. I’m a 35-year-old mom of two wonderful boys and one stepdaughter. Wesley is 15, Chloe is 14 and Zakari is 8.

I graduated as a dental assistant in 2004 and worked in that field until 2010. I then switched careers and opened my own home daycare.

I have been blogging since 2010. In 2014 I moved my original blog “Doman, ABA and Afterschooling Mom” from Blogger to my own domain and changed the name to EarlyLearningMom.com. (Little bit of a nicer ring to it I think…)

I love sharing about special needs parenting, autism, early learning, product reviews, and sometimes giveaways!

  1. Hi there,
I was wondering, if you know, what is the difference between The Institute of Human Potential and Dorman International and National Academy of Child Development. They all seem to offer the Dorman Method – but price seems to vary. Do you know?

    • So sorry for the delayed response! I have worked with all three, and for our family, Doman International was the best fit. NACD is run by people with the Doman name, but they do not follow Glenn Doman’s methods. IAHP and Doman International were originally one program. However several years ago they split. I find that Doman International considers the whole family’s mental health, and is more innovative than IAHP. But this is just my personal opinion.

  2. Hi.
I’ve been reading your blog and was hoping to get some more feedback about the difference between NACD and IHAP.
    Thanks so much.
